I wouldnt call it an accident because there is no damage, its more like tommy's first asshat automotive maneuver getting the car stuck in gravel on a residential street

Anyway, coarse gravel can cause quite deep scratches even at low speeds. Hitting another car at the same speed can cause less damage than gravel.
I found out first hand while parking a borrowed car at an off road event. Even the parking was off road! :D Thankfully the owner doesn't care, but them's deep scratches.
